For the first time, a humanoid robot walked onto the production floor at our plant in Lend.

How ready is humanoid robotics for real industrial applications? Together with IONO Robotics, we are putting this question to the test – directly in our production environment.

As part of a specific use case, we are testing the humanoid robot Workmate under real industrial conditions at SAG. Our goal is not simply to talk about the potential of humanoid robotics, but to gain hands-on experience and identify where this technology can already create real value in production processes today.

Testing technology where it is meant to be used

An industrial production environment presents very different challenges from a laboratory. That is why we are testing Workmate directly at one of our production facilities.

The test allows us to evaluate not only the robot’s technical capabilities, but also its integration into existing workflows and the requirements that arise in day-to-day industrial operations.
