SAG is a privately owned company founded in Austria. Originally founded in 1898 as an aluminum foundry, a management buyout in 1993 laid the foundation for today’s success as an innovative supplier to the automotive sector. Since then, the company has grown continuously and is now one of the leading international producers of fuel tanks as well as lightweight components. SAG is one of the top 100 companies in Austria with annual sales of around EUR 200 million.

The SAG Group is a company founded in Austria with 1100 employees worldwide at nine locations in the Netherlands, Spain, Slovakia, Austria, Mexico and the USA. The turnover of the entire group of companies amounted to around EUR 211 million in 2023.

As the market leader for aluminum tanks for heavy trucks, SAG is a supplier to many international OEMs. Other products include lightweight components, air reservoirs, compressed air tanks and special components for the commercial vehicle, rail and special vehicle industries. The SAG Group specializes in developing tailor-made products for sustainable mobility, producing them in large series and delivering them reliably on a just-in-time and just-in-sequence basis.

The SAG Group is a technology leader in the field of cryogenic tank systems for LNG & LH2 (liquid natural gas & liquid hydrogen) and a pioneer in the field of rheocasting (special casting process for aluminum components).

As part of the GreenTech Awards 2023/24, SAG was honored for the third time as “Leading Innovator” with a special award. This was due to the company’s numerous patents for innovations that make a significant contribution to climate protection.
