Stabiliteit in uitdagende tijden: SAG Group versterkt haar positie op de markt met nieuwe opdrachten en langdurige samenwerkingsverbanden

(Wenen/Lend, 25 februari 2026) – Ondanks de moeilijke marktsituatie in de automobielsector wist de SAG-groep zich in het boekjaar 2025 succesvol te handhaven en een omzet van 160 miljoen euro te behalen. Langdurige partnerschappen met internationale vrachtwagenfabrikanten, seriebestellingen voor lichtgewicht componenten uit de personenauto-, spoorweg- en defensiesector, evenals de start van de serieproductie van het door SAG ontwikkelde cryogene waterstoftanksysteem voor zware bedrijfsvoertuigen zorgden voor een positief bedrijfsresultaat voor het bedrijf.

In a market environment characterized by uncertainty, a spirit of innovation and long-standing customer partnerships proved to be the main pillars of stable business development for the SAG Group in 2025. The company has been one of the world’s leading producers of fuel tanks for trucks for more than 30 years and is very active in the development of new technologies in the fields of hydrogen storage and foundry technology. With the development of hydrogen cryogenic tank systems for heavy commercial vehicles, SAG has developed a pioneering role and was recently able to win an order for series production in this area.

The Rheocasting technology for the casting of particularly resistant aluminium components, which has been further developed by SAG, also brought orders. With the successful industrialization of this process, SAG has established itself as a pioneer and technology leader. Currently, no other company in the world produces Rheocasting components in series. This unique selling point generated sales from the passenger car industry in 2025.

Strategie van „dicht bij de klant“: productie in Europa en Noord-Amerika
De locatie-indeling over verschillende continenten heen is eveneens een voordeel gebleken. De productie vindt momenteel plaats op zes locaties in Europa en Mexico – telkens in de directe omgeving van de OEM’s. Deze nabijheid tot de klant maakt korte leveringsroutes mogelijk en zorgt voor een nauwkeurige afstemming op de productieritmes van de autofabrikanten.

Optimistische kijk op de toekomst
De orderportefeuille in de spoorweg- en defensiesector ontwikkelde zich bijzonder positief. Dit zijn sectoren die voor de SAG Group groeimarkten vormen. „In 2025 zijn we erin geslaagd om, ondanks veel tegenwind, een goed ordervolume te realiseren in zowel bestaande als nieuwe markten. Ons resultaat weerspiegelt het feit dat wij door onze klanten worden gewaardeerd als een flexibele en betrouwbare ontwikkelings- en productiepartner. En wij zijn breed gepositioneerd met ons productassortiment. De blik op de toekomst is dan ook zeer positief. Wij zullen onze activiteiten in 2026 blijven uitbreiden, zowel in bestaande als in nieuwe markten”, zegt Karin Exner-Wöhrer, CEO van de SAG Group, met overtuiging.
